Some of you may already know this, but, in addition to being a writer, I am also a graphic designer. It all started back in 1996 when I began working as a production artist at the Ventura County Star. Having published a magazine for 2 years, I fell in love with advertising design and page layout. While the magazine was short-lived, out of that came a viable trade which has, at times, been my living, and at others, a good sideline.

I am now the Creative Director at the Ojai Magazine and have 15 years experience in graphic design. Beginning with 2 1/2 years at the Ventura County Star, I went on to work for Patagonia, the Ojai Valley News, Miller Magazines, Laser Lithograph, and Kinko’s, and have had dozens of freelance clients including 805 Living Magazine, Matrix 1 Air Conditioning, Paradise Pantry, The Hideaway at Lindero Country Club and Tra di Noi Ristorante in Malibu.
